Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Preventative Health™ School (“the School”), including all courses, content, features, and services provided through this platform. By enrolling in or using the School in any capacity, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms, as well as any applicable laws or regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not enroll in or use the School.
Preventative Health™ is developed and maintained by Effect Therapy Health Centre, operated under the ownership of Effect Health.
1. Use of the School
The School and all courses within it are offered for educational purposes only. By accessing the School, you affirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and legally capable of entering into binding agreements. Your access to the School is for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree to use the content solely for your own education and not to share, redistribute, or reproduce course materials in any unauthorized manner.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms.
2. Intellectual Property
All content provided in the School—including but not limited to videos, texts, images, graphics, downloadable materials, course structures, and brand identity—is the intellectual property of Effect Health and its authorized licensors. Your enrollment grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the content for personal use.
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any content
- Share login credentials or access with others
- Reverse engineer or modify any part of the School
- Use School materials for commercial or unauthorized educational purposes
Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of access and may subject you to further legal action.
3. Course Access and Availability
Enrollment in the School grants you lifetime access to any courses you have purchased, unless otherwise stated. While we aim to maintain uninterrupted access to content, we reserve the right to update, modify, or retire courses or materials at our discretion in order to improve the learning experience or maintain compliance with evolving standards.
Scheduled releases (such as weekly lesson unlocking) are part of the School’s design for pacing and progression. If you purchase a bundle with flexible access (such as the Open Access Pathway), availability may follow a different format as described on the respective course or product page.
4. Student Accounts and Conduct
To access certain features of the School, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to engage respectfully within any community forums, discussion areas, or support channels. Harassment, abusive language, or other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the School without refund.
5. Payments and Refunds
All prices are listed in [CAD/USD] and include access to the materials as advertised. Secure payment is processed through trusted third-party services. We do not store or manage your credit card details directly.
Preventative Health™ offers a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee on course or program purchases, subject to conditions outlined at the time of enrollment. Requests for a refund must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 30 days of purchase and must include confirmation that you completed the first module of the program. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days.
We do not provide partial refunds for bundled purchases or completed coursework.
6. Disclaimer of Health Advice
The content provided in the School is for educational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your physician or qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
Enrollment in the Program does not create a professional-client relationship with any of our instructors, contributors, or advisors.
Effect Health and its affiliates are not responsible for any outcomes based on actions taken in reliance on course content.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Effect Health and its representatives will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of—or inability to use—the School or its materials, including but not limited to loss of data, business disruption, or personal dissatisfaction.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities. If local law applies, parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted within the School and will take effect upon publication. Continued use of the School after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that province.
